We are right in the middle of it. This whole week has been part of the preparation — showing me what mattered enough to carry forward and what needed to be left behind. Good morning, beautiful souls. ☀️ Today is 8/8/26, the peak of the Lions Gate. I have only been working with this one since last year — never even heard of it before then. Since I started journaling last year, I have learned this: the page is for grounding. You write down the bad so it goes out into the universe instead of sitting in your chest, and you write down the good so gratitude actually has somewhere to live. That is the whole practice, gate or no gate. This week, we get to do it with the sky wide open too. 🦁🚪

🚪 Why the Number 8
Today is 8/8/26 — month eight, day eight, a doubled gate on its own. Even the year folds back to eight: 2 + 6 = 8. Do the ritual at 8am and that's a quadruple eight stacked right on top of itself. But run the full date through numerology and something else shows up underneath all of it. 2026 reduces down: 2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 10, and 1 + 0 = 1. This is a Universal Year 1 — the seed, the spark, the absolute start of a brand-new nine-year cosmic cycle. It's the pioneer number: independence, leadership, the courage to step into the unknown. Old karmic debt from the last cycle gets wiped clean here. This is the exact moment an idea stops being a thought and starts becoming something real.
So the quadrupled eights and a fresh Universal Year 1 are stacked on the very same day — infinity laid right on top of a beginning. New beginnings keep surfacing for me the more I sit with this one; even Noah's Ark keeps coming to mind, the old world cleared away and something entirely new set down in its place.

- Saturday, August 8 — 8:00 AM Is Best, Open All Day Write your eternity intention on paper. Then — instead of just sitting with it in meditation — write down one physical action you will take right after the ritual, something that kickstarts the new timeline in the real world. Seal the page with your candle.
- August 9 – 11 — Feeding on What's Provided The gate begins closing after today, and this stretch is the ark itself — living off what God provided and what we chose to carry in with us, the same way Noah's family lived on the provisions they'd gathered while the door stayed shut around them. Nothing to force here. Just sit in it.
- Wednesday, August 12 — the Gate Closes A total solar eclipse falls exactly four days later — this part isn't just felt, it's on the calendar. Burn the sealed paper and blow the ashes out through the door as the gate swings shut, carrying the intention out with it. This is when He sets us right, on the other side, with the new beginning.
Whatever gets written on the eighth rides the eclipse out on the twelfth. That's the whole shape of it.

These past two weeks have been blessings and trials in equal measure, all of it leading up to this moment the gate opens. I keep coming back to Noah. A year before God shut the door on the ark, Noah spent that whole stretch burying the old and gathering for the new. Then he entered the door — compare that to the Lions Gate itself — and God shut it behind him. For a year Noah was on that journey, sealed in, until God finally opened the door onto a world made new. That's the shape of this gate too: write it down, seal it in, and wait on what opens on the other side.
